Verification Manager

Our client, a well known service provider to the Energy industry is looking for a verifcation engineer/manager to join thier team, based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Experience & Skills Required:
5 years + experience in Oil & Gas as surveyor / engineer / QA/QC / inspection type roles. Maintenance,
inspection or Projects.
Knowledge and experience of design, construction, commissioning or operation of Offshore Installations an
advantage.
Knowledge of UK Safety Case Legislation, its implementation and interactions.
Good interpersonal skills, inc. the ability to effectively communicate with the Client at all levels to discuss
positive and negative issues and resolve problems.
Be flexible and adaptable to work simultaneously for multiple Projects and Clients involving varied technical
challenges.
Ideally willing to travel in UK and International to meet our Client needs.
Qualifications Required:
HNC / HND / Degree in Engineering or equivalent recognised experience
Member of one of the Engineering councils
Advancement to chartered engineer status encouraged
Role Purpose:
As a Verification Engineer, role would be to provide services from the below listed criteria
Design appraisal and documentation verification in line with relevant codes and standards. If required, also
supply similar independent Verification services to International Clients to meet national and international
codes and standards and/or their own specifications requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Verification Manager, your responsibilities would include:
Surveys, examinations, inspection reviews and technical audits onshore against Performance Standards and
International Standards or Client Specifications.
Provide clear and concise technical reports.
Effectively communicate findings at all levels within the Clients organisation.
Technical Review of engineering design.
Development and / or implementation of Verification Schemes covering Projects and existing Installations in
accordance with UK legislation.
Understand and adhere to IVB policies and procedures.
Understand and implement safe working practices.
If required, act as day-to-day focal point for Client representative.
Key Performance Measures:
Deliver a highly professional level of work and issue deliverables in accordance with Client/Contract
requirements.
Have a pro-active and enthusiastic approach to work which adds benefit
